Bug Reporting
This page contains an overview of the information contained in the Bug Reporting sections of the Instabug Docs for React Native apps.
Integrating and Showing Instabug
To be able to use Instabug's Bug Reporting and Feedback product, you must first integrate the SDK. You should also understand how to show the SDK.
Your users and beta testers can show the Instabug SDK from any page in your app. When they select "Report a problem" or "Suggest an improvement" from the default Prompt Options menu that pops up when they show Instabug, these reports are sent to the bugs page of your dashboard with all the information and logs you need to pinpoint any issues. More details can be found in the following sections:
1. Report Types & Content
This section details what you can expect with every bug, improvement, or question, such as logs and attachments, as well as how to require users to enter their emails or enter comments.
2. Reply to Reporters
In this section, you'll learn how to send an in-app chat to your reporters from your dashboard.
3. Extended Bug Report
This feature makes all of your bug reports standardized, with defined fields for Steps to Reproduce, Actual Results, and Expected Results. Extended Bug Reports are especially useful for QA teams and internal testers.
4. Event Handlers
If you wish to have any blocks of code run before or after a report is sent, this section details how to do that.
5. Disabling/Enabling Bug Reporting
Instabug offers several products. If you don't use Instabug for bug, improvement, or questions, you can disable these functions by following the instructions in this section.
