SDK Version Support Policy
To ensure optimal performance, stability, and access to the latest features, we periodically end support for older SDK versions. Below, you’ll find details about which SDK versions will no longer be supported, what this means for your app, and the steps you need to take.
Which SDK Versions Will No Longer Be Supported?
Starting on June 30, 2025, we will end support for the following SDK versions:
- iOS: Versions prior to 12.0.0
- Android: Versions prior to 11.5.2
- Flutter: Versions prior to 12.0.0
- React Native: Versions prior to 12.6.1
What Does "Ending Support" Mean?
- We will no longer process any sessions or events for app versions using the unsupported SDKs.
- You will not see data (e.g., crashes, bugs, or performance metrics) from these app versions on your Instabug dashboard.
- Your existing data for app versions using unsupported SDKs will remain in the dashboard within the retention period, but no new data will be collected.
- These app versions will no longer appear as selectable filters within your dashboards.
If a significant percentage of your users are still on these app versions, it could result in gaps in your data and insights.
Next Steps
- Update to the Latest SDK:
- Ensure your app integrates the latest supported SDK version:
- Encourage Users to Update:
- Push your end users to adopt app versions using the updated SDK to avoid data loss.
